The L4 metro and T4 tram lines will be affected by major cuts this summer
During this summer, two major works are scheduled for the current public transport infrastructure that provides service by metro from Verdaguer to Bogatell and by tram from Ciutadella | Vila Olímpica in Port Fòrum, coinciding with the months of least recurring demand. Thus, the railway service will be significantly affected by the coincidence of the track renovation works of the L4 metro line, and by the total service interruption of the T4 tram line which is due to the works in the first phase of the connection of the tram networks along the Diagonal route.
Affected area
The stations and stops that will be out of service are indicated in this section of the map of the integrated railway network. As for the rest of the services (metro line L1, Rodalies line R2 Sud, TRAM lines T5 and T6), they can, in most cases, serve as an alternative route for journeys affected by these works.
Partial interruptions of the L4 metro
On the yellow line of Barcelona Metro L4, track renovation works will be carried out
which will require 6 stations to be out of service in a first phase, and only 4 stations in a second phase.
- Phase I from 26/06 to 31/07: Ciutadella| Vila Olímpica, Barceloneta, Jaume I, Urquinaona, Passeig de Gràcia and Girona. Through the Bogatell and Verdaguer stops, only trains will run in the direction of La Pau and Trinitat Nova respectively.
- Phase II from 01/08 to 25/08: Jaume I, Urquinaona, Passeig de Gràcia and Girona. Only trains heading for La Pau and Trinitat Nova will run through the Barceloneta and Verdaguer stops respectively.

Full service interruption on tram line T4
The current work during the first phase of the connection of the tram networks, from Glòries to Verdaguer, requires the connection of the new tracks with the existing ones in Glòries.
Therefore, tram line T4 will not provide a service along its route from 26/06 to 31/08. On the other hand, lines T5 and T6 will end at the Farinera stop, thus guaranteeing the connection with Underground L1.

The campaign deployed by the ATM is present mainly in digital and radio media, and aims to alert users of the problems with the service of both operators which, on this occasion, coincide in time and part of the geographical space of the city of Barcelona. This way, the aim of the campaign is to focus general information on the interruptions, in addition to redirecting users to the information areas of the operators where the Alternative Transport Plans are exhaustively detailed in order to deal with the service interruptions.
