Public transport in the Barcelona area will continue with the current discounts: 50% for the T-usual and the T-jove
The ATM will retain the 50% discounts on T-usual and T-jove passes launched in September 2022 following the State’s decision to maintain the 30% subsidies throughout the first six months of 2023
- The validity of all the integrated passes purchased in 2022 will be extended to 31 December 2023, except for the T-casual pass, which will expire on 15 January 2023 as previously announced
Barcelona, 27 June 2023.- By virtue of the Royal Decree-Law approved by the Council of Ministers on 27 June guaranteeing the six-month extension of the 30% discount established by the State administration on certain transport tickets (T-usual, T-jove), subject to the additional 20% discount that the ATM’s consortium administrations approved on 19 December at the meeting of its Board of Directors, public transport fares will retain the same discounts throughout the second half of 2023.
The discounts are retained for the most recurring passes
The discounts will continue for the rest of 2023. These discounts may be reviewed at the beginning of 2024, since the 30% State aid and the 20% agreed on by the Barcelona ATM are only guaranteed until the end of the year.
It should be recalled that the prices of the transport tickets have remained frozen since 2020 and that the temporary fare reductions have been applied to these prices.

Rates for Rodalies de Catalunya
The extension of the free recurring passes of Rodalies de Catalunya is ratified under the new terms and conditions of use for 2023 established by the State administration.
Expiry of 2022 transport tickets
The range of passes will remain the same as in 2022, which is why integrated passes purchased in 2022 will be valid until 31 December 2023, with the exception of the T-casual pass, which expired on 15 January 2023, as previously announced. The T-verda and T-16 passes will retain the expiry date of each ticket.
T-jove: extended to people under 30 and all six zones for the price of one
On 15 March 2023, the validity of the T-jove card was extended by five years, until the date on which passengers turn 30. Similarly, the Barcelona ATM also approved a price reduction, unifying the price of any of the six zones in the price of one.
