Barcelona, 1 December 2023.- The Metropolitan Transport Authority, in agreement with the administrations in the consortium, has extended the expiry dates of passes purchased in 2023 until 29 February 2024 (before it was until 15 January). The decision has been made in response to the significant changes being implemented in the ticketing system. The intention is for citizens to have additional time to adapt to the current transition from integrated transport passes with a magnetic strip to the rechargeable and contactless T-mobilitat system and thus mitigate the worries and concerns that the original date of 15 January have generated. 

In addition, the administrations in the ATM consortium are still waiting to find out the true characteristics of the announcement made by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility regarding free tickets for certain user profiles. 
This modification of the expiry dates, which will be published in the DOGC (Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia) shortly, is applicable to the integrated transport passes of the Barcelona ATM and the T-4 card. The T-16 card and T-verda card will maintain their expiry dates.
 

A més a més, s’hi suma el fet que les administracions consorciades en el si de l’ATM estan pendents de conèixer encara les característiques reals de l’anunci fet pel Ministerio de Transportes y Movilidad Sostenible sobre aplicar la gratuïtat per a determinats perfils de persones usuàries. 

Aquesta modificació de la caducitat, que es publicarà properament al DOGC, és aplicable als títols de transport integrats de l’ATM de Barcelona així com a la targeta T-4. Per la seva banda, la targeta T-16 i la targeta T-verda mantenen la seva pròpia caducitat.
