Barcelona, 27 September.- This week a new group of urban bus lines run by two transport operators incorporated validation with T-mobilitat, the new system for travel on the public transport network in the Barcelona area. This development represents the start of a final phase in the roll-out of the system – intended to be fully operational throughout the Barcelona area’s Integrated Fare System – following the incorporation of all railway stations across the entire network completed this September.

This means that all urban bus lines in the towns of Martorell, Mataró and Vallirana, operated by Grup Avanza (Mataró Bus) and Soler i Sauret (Vallibus and Bus Urbà de Martorell), are now fitted with T-mobilitat. For passengers from these areas, the new system facilitates transfer between train services and local buses, a key aspect of the transport ecosystem in many municipalities.

Points of sale for tickets

Transport tickets are available for purchase through all official T-mobilitat sales channels:

- Ticket machines provided by TMB, FGC, Rodalies and TRAM operators..

- T-mobilitat, TMB and FGC websites for purchases of the T-mobilitat card.

- T-mobilitat, TMB App and FGC T- mobilitat mobile applications.

- Customer service points located throughout the public transport network.

Transport tickets purchased with the T-mobilitat system also benefit from the same fare reductions as the magnetic stripe card tickets. Thus, the travel passes T-usual (also FM/FN), T-casual and T-jove (also FM/FN) for all zones can be purchased through the new system with the corresponding fare reduction until 31 December 2022. It should be noted that all current Integrated Fare System tickets will be valid until 15 January 2023.
